EMS World Expo Begins

Well it was another full day of travel to get to New Orleans. Arrived safely and settled in for what I now know is going to be a big week. Day 1 was a privilege to hear the author  of one of our primary text books speak on the changes coming into pre hospital care. Research that shows our overuse of high flow oxygen is unsettling as it is something that has been standard in both medical and trauma patients for as long as I've been a Paramedic. To see the research and hear the rationale behind the restriction of oxygen is certainly going to need some processing. Returning tomorrow to delve into further research and case studies on the new age of per hospital care and treatments.
